Homerton Early Years Centre

Homerton Nursery School was originally built in 1942 in the grounds of Cambridge University, Homerton College, providing care for evacuee children and training opportunities for Homerton students. It moved to our present site on the south side of Cambridge city in 1968. Since then it has grown into a Children’s Centre, offers wrap around care, a holiday club and provision for two year olds. We have a reputation for high quality training, particularly in technology in the Early Years. We have only had Outstanding judgements since OFSTED inspections begun. We enjoy sharing our practice and working with other settings to improve quality for all our children.

Colleges Nursery School

Colleges Nursery and Family Centre is a purpose built nursery school with day care situated in the north of Cambridge.  It was built in 1972 with funds generously donated by colleges of Cambridge University (hence the name) and the fund-raising efforts of an enthusiastic community-based committee.  On completion of the building Colleges was adopted by the local authority. Colleges now shares its site with North Cambridge Children’s Centre. We use a child-centred approach and believe the best way for children to learn and develop is through active, hands-on play.
