Initial Teacher Training
We are very excited that we are working with the CREC Early Years Partnership in delivering a School Centred Initial Teacher Training programme in Cambridgeshire.
Why Train With Us?
Our new ‘Cambridge’ innovative programme offers a high quality centre-based one year full-time course, working in conjunction with the CREC Early Years Partnership in which our trainee teachers will be supported to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Post Graduate (PG) accreditation.
This collaborative SCITT programme will benefit from the direct contributions of Professor Chris Pascal and Professor Tony Bertram from CREC, both highly experienced teacher educators, and a wider team of highly knowledgeable and effective early years tutors from establishments like, the Faculty of Education in Cambridge as well as Placement Mentors from all ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Placement schools.
This teacher training course has been devised to develop high quality teachers to work in the Early Years, and the course, in addition to covering all Teaching Standards will include an emphasis on: multi-agency working and family support; leadership in the EYFS; working with 2 year olds; SEN/D; and practitioner research.
We really hope that you will join us in Cambridge on your ITT journey to becoming a qualified teacher, specialising in Early years education (2-7 years).
